Digital radiography reduces a patient’s exposure to radiation by as much as 75 percent as compared to regular film X-rays. Digital X-rays also aid in prompt, accurate diagnosis and efficient treatment planning.
Laser cavity detection is the use of a painless, non-cutting laser to accurately detect decay in its earliest stages. Early repair of a tooth preserves the health of natural teeth and can eliminate the need for a large restoration (filling), crown, root canal or extraction.
In conjunction with early decay detection, we often implement air abrasion. This method of decay removal is quick, conservative and often painless. Anesthesia usually is not necessary, making a dental visit very easy.
One of the most exciting technological advances with enormous benefits to our patients is CEREC CAD/CAM dentistry. Using a high-tech computer program,we can design a partial or full crown while a patient is in the office. During the same visit, the ceramic restoration is made in a milling unit in less than 20 minutes! The attractive, tooth-colored restoration is then permanently placed – all during one visit.
The use of nitrous oxide, upon request, enables our patients to relax and enjoy a comfortable atmosphere during a dental visit.
